In early 2000 we at Paraclete learned of a tragedy that had occurred involving several servicemen who drowned after the helicopter they were riding in crashed into the sea. These servicemen were wearing fully loaded armor vests and were unable to ditch their gear in time. Paraclete was asked if we could develop a system that would make a loaded vest safer for servicemen in this situation. After many months of development and testing, our design team created an emergency cut away system. Paraclete strives to develop state of the art equipment
This state of the art modular assaulters vest is the result of 2 years of research and development. Made of Mil. Spec. materials and bomb proof production this vest will provide you with years of reliable service. Covered in virtually every location by 1″ cordura webbing placed at 1″ intervals it is compatible with not only our pockets but the military issue MOLLE / SPEAR pockets, The #10 zippers on the bottom of the front and back panels allow you to rapidly access the internal armor plate pockets and soft armor package. Cut-away pillow can be placed on the left or right chest region or lower abdominal region. Zip off back panel allows you to easily change the configuration of the back of the vest. Drag strap is swen the full length of the vest, NOT Bar tacked to the Cordura. Internal and external cummerbunds are fully adjustable and the external cummerbund is secured in the front by a heavy duty #10 zipper. Shoulder areas have drink tube/commo wire channels. Armor collar, yoke, shoulder pads, and groin panel are available and can be easily added to or removed from this system.
